My friends, family and Family put on quite the birthday celebration this weekend in the heart of Marietta at The Lyric Studio Theatre in the Square. This night was filled with great food, salsa lessons, tasty desserts, fabulous company, dancing and of course live music from not one but two bands!
With deliciously authentic Cuban food from The Cuban Diner in Marietta I felt like I was home in Miami. The ropa vieja, plantains, and arroz imperial were my favorites. Who knew that one could find such great Cuban food in Marietta!?! I know now that I need to pay a visit to Jose and Susy Ricardo at The Cuban Diner when I need to get a taste of Miami/Cuba.
The mardi gras masks and costumes give hints of part two of the birthday celebration. We will be in New Orleans later this month to continue the ongoing celebration of my birthday!
Special thanks to Daniel Pattillo of Daniel Pattillo Photography for his help capturing moments from the Birthday Celebration.
Fernanada Noronha was the first artist to come to the stage. Find pictures, music and more in Birthday Celebration for Antonius Maximus Rex – Part II.
