Veronica V is the current incarnation of a musical project that started back in 2007. Almost a decade ago a few friends decided to get together weekly to make music. Since then there have been many projects and bands that have grown from those “Among Friends” sessions. These bands included: Box 48, the S & P Project, Last Day Grey, Motrendus and Veronica V. Tonight Veronica V came to The Pinhook in downtown Raleigh, NC to jam with the crowd.
The Pinhook was a great addition to my tour of the music scene in and around Raleigh. When I asked, where to find good music in Raleigh, The Pinhook was on everyone’s list. I learned that the music venue is struggling to keep the doors open and has started the Damn the man – SAVE THE PINHOOK! campaign on Fundly. When the Fundly campaign started, The Pinhook needed almost $80,000 to keep its doors open. As of today, they have raised over $32,000 toward this goal. Tonight’s show by Veronica V and The ElecTrick LadyLand band is part of the Save the Pinhook show series.
Veronica V the band is not to be confused with Veronica V the R&B singer. This Veronica V pulls it’s influences from rock, punk, metal, blues, country, and alternative rock. Veronica V is: Dave Comer (Vocals, Guitar); Samuel Diaz (Guitar, Vocals), Eric Kirchstein (Guitar), Joe Wilkie – Bass and David Ledrowski (Drums, Vocals).
