Angela Reign “Obvious” Release Party at 120 Tavern

Tonight music fans joined Angela Reign and her award-winning band at the 120 Tavern and Music Hall, for the release of Angela Reign’s latest single.  On this special night Angela was supported by a 5-piece band, a team which included guitar legend Mr. Barry Richman. In addition to Barry Richman, Angela was joined on stage by veteran musicians Robert Meadows on Keyboards, Roger Andes on guitar, Danny Ascher on bass and Ron Jutze on drums.

Joining me behind the camera lens for tonight’s show was Libro Musica contributor Jean Bartlett of Jean L. Bartlett Photography

Tonight’s music was filled with the rock and pop influences that have made Angela so popular.  Despite the appeal of her electrifying covers of songs, Angela Reign fans were here tonight to hear her perform originals that they have loved over the years.  Then of course there was the biggest reason of all, tonight we were waiting for the much anticipated release of “Obvious” and it’s accompanying music video.

Angela Reign’s first set included a baker’s dozen of songs including: “Shut Up And Dance”, “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”, “Ho in Rio”, and “Reckless Kind.”  Angela Reign’s hair and makeup were fabulous thanks to Steve Hightower and Rebecca Walden.

Angela Reign’s energy flowed out from the stage and captivated the crowd. The area in front of the stage quickly became filled with fans smiling, dancing and cheering Angela Reign on to new heights.  Anyone that has ever been to an Agela Reign show knows that she is happiest and performs best when the crowd is on their feet dancing to her music.

To introduce the world to her new single “Obvious”  Angela Reign came back on stage in an amazing white dress by Victoria Velvet.  I had a chance to interview Angela Reign earlier this year while she was in the studio putting together “Obvious” you can read that interview, here.

“This song represents the love from all my supporters and fans that lift me up.  But more importantly represents and mimics the way I feel about my number one love and supporter in my life, my loving husband.” – Angel Reign

Angela Reign’s second set included almost a dozen songs including “Proud Mary”, “Sex on Fire”, “Don’t Stop Believing”, “Cowgirls Do” and “Tall Drink of Water.”  Of course the dancing continued which included dozens of couples on the floor dancing in an intimate embrace followed in between the screams and shouts of the party anthems.

Like a wonderful dream, the night had to finally come to an end.  Angel Reign’s encore performance of “Purple Rain” by his royal badness Prince was a fitting tribute to the legend.  Tonight was a phenomenal night of music from Angela Reign!  I am pleased to have been a part of tonight’s event.
