Three Stages for Three Days of Music at Camp Barefoot X

A great time at Camp Barefoot X with three days of amazing music, on three stages in Elkins, WV.  With musical acts from all over the country like: Big Something, Groove Fetish, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Consider The Source, That 1 Guy, Dopapod, and Ghostland Observatory.  All three stages were very well put together and not a far walk from one another.  I love when the stages are close enough to dart between sets when there is more than one band playing that that I want to hear.  Squeezing in more bands as the summer festival season comes to an end is a euphoric feeling.

One of the bigger acts of the weekend was Big Something. They come from Greensboro NC, and their sets are never anything short of awesome. Big Something had three sets that weekend (One on each of the stages), and the final set was a Pink Floyd tribute set.  Big Something is touring around the country until January.  Check them out if they stop through your city. Check out Big Something’s schedule here.

Another great musical act of the weekend was the high-energy psychedelic funk group Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. The amazing 4 piece comes from  Baltimore, MD. Their set was one of Friday’s headlining act and one the best sets of the weekend. Pigeons really set the mood for the next day’s music.

The final day of Camp Barefoot X was full of even more amazing artist and music with acts like Keller Williams and That 1 Guy starting the day off right for the evenings acts Tauk, and Ghostland Observatory. The third nights headliner Ghostland Observatory was absolutely amazing. Watching Ghostland Observatory was like no other act I had seen that weekend. Ghostland provides one of the biggest laser light shows I have ever encountered.

Overall Camp Barefoot x was a great three day festival to go to. I saw so many happy people and faces throughout the event it had me smiling from start to finish. Amazing people, vendors, and a great staff on sound and lights.  I hope to see you next year for music at Camp Barefoot!
