Carolina Rebellion Artist: Cover Your Tracks Album ‘Cages’

Atlanta’s own Cover Your Tracks will be playing Carolina Rebellion this year, bringing their brand of rock to the stage in Concord. The band’s latest album, Fever Dream, was released in September under Epitaph Records. This morning I took a peek at the video from one of the singles off the album, “Cages”.

The video features the band rocking a packed show. As the band powers through the chorus, the lyrics speak to the artificial divisions separating us from each other – and our true selves. The band puts on a high-energy show, with guitars blasting powerful chords, the vocals are familiar and blend in with the guitars like butter on an English muffin.

The song is catchy in that it is easy to sing to. It is one of those tracks that uses a metaphor so well, that layers of meaning ooze from it each time you run through the lyrics in your head. For those less inclined to ponder metaphors about invisible enclosures, there are the guitars, luscious and electric.

2017 Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion

This is a band I’ve got to see live. This is a band I will see live.   They’re touring this spring, but they’ll be tearing it up at the rebellion.  Catch Cover Your Tracks at the 2017 Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion in May. They’re touring all over North America this Spring. If you make it to a show, plan for a good time.  In 2016, Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion had another record breaking year with over 90,000 fans in attendance.  If you missed last year’s Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion take a look at our coverage of Day One and Days Two & Three.
