Atlanta Jazz Festival 2017 with Common Ground Collective, Robert Glasper, Macy Gray, Freddy Cole and More

There is much to look forward to as the Atlanta Jazz Festival celebrates it’s 40th year!  The Atlanta Jazz Festival is one of the country’s largest free jazz festivals.   This annual showcase celebrates jazz legends and emerging jazz greats.  Each year during May venues through out the Atlanta area host Atlanta Jazz Festival events. The Atlanta Jazz Festival culminates on Memorial Day Weekend with a three day music festival at Piedmont Park.    Last year, after attending the 2016 Atlanta Jazz Festival I mentioned that I could tell that the festival was on the rise and to expect great things in coming years.  This year the festival line up for Piedmont Park is a phenomenal one.

One big change for 2017 is the 40 Days of Jazz!  The Atlanta Jazz Festival’s 31 Days of Jazz program is expanding in 2017 in celebration of the festival’s 40th anniversary. The 2017 festival season offers 40 Days of Jazz with jazz-related events every single day from April 21st – May 31st.

View the festival line up here.  Stay tuned to Libro Musica for more news about the Atlanta Jazz Festival and the artist that will perform.

The Atlanta Jazz Festival takes place in Piedmont Park and is free and open to the public.
