Heather Luttrell at Amplify Live at W Atlanta Midtown

The luckiest of us got a leg up on St. Patrick’s Day this last Thursday, getting down with tapping feet at the W Hotel Atlanta Midtown, to the blues-infused Americana of Heather Luttrell and the Possumden. This week’s Amplify event hosted by Good Foot in the W’s Living Room lounge space, Amplify Shamrock, featured the redheaded core duo of Possumden, Heather on banjo, guitar, and kazoo, and Craig Henderson on drums, squared and supported by Ralph “Daddy” Luttrell on resonator guitar, and a right dapper gentleman on bass guitar.

Read up on and listen to Possumden in Gwendolyn Lewis’ review of their Possumdiva album here on Libro Musica with a side of Irish or American whiskey, as you like it. You’ll find you’re reminded of Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt, and really good times out with friends and lovers enjoying excellent live music.

Next at the W Atlanta Midtown‘s Amplify, catch Kim Bates‘ coffee house sounds filling the Living Room space rounding out the rich flavor of Locals We Love: An Evening with 1000 Faces Coffee, on March 30.
