SXSW with MICxSIC Droppin’ Bars

Atlanta’s MICxSIC of Savage Fam PRO returned to SXSW to perform at Dirty Dog’s Bar.   SXSW is the world’s largest music festival will over 2,000 acts performing in Austin during the week long music festival.  Performers from all over the world submit their music to SXSW for the privilege to perform in this global event.  Every artist brings their A Game as they get a chance to perform for the music junkies that flock to this annual event.  Tonight at Drity Dogs was no exception for MICxSIC when he hit the stage.

MICxSIC also performed as emcee for the night introducing the other acts for the night and keeping the crowd hyped between sets.  I have seen MICxSIC curate and mcee many, many times including: the montly Bar Exam at Apache Cafe;  the monthly The Free Style Experiment; Poetry vs Hip Hop competition; and even at a Slam Trump Rap Battle.  MICxSIC is a talented emcee and curator but, where he truly shines is free styling and dropping dope lyrics.  A3C’s 24 Hour Cypher to make his way into the Guinness Book of World Records for longest free style rap by a team.

Tonight’s showcase was put together by Colours Couture and 3Thirteen Entertainment Group.  Other artists hitting the stage tonight and showing off their lyrical styles were: K-WIL, Pure Powers, Mike Theory, J-ones, and She Real.
