Blues and Rock with Cody Matlock at The Masquerade

A night of blues, funk and rock with Cody Matlock on the Purgatory stage at The Masquerade in Underground Atlanta.  Despite just barely being over the legal drinking age, Cody Matlock has been a fixture in the Atlanta blues and rock scene for several years.  You can find him on the stage at  Northside Tavern, Fat Matt’s Rib Shack, Blind Willie’s and Darwin’s Burgers and Blues.  When asked about influences on his music Cody Matlock sites legends like James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, and Prince as the primary ones.  He has spent his career crafting his skills performing blues classics and recent hits.  It was great to see tonight that Cody has taken his many influences and crafted them into some original songs.
