Our coverage of the Road to Roo once again lead to Sports & Social at the Battery in Atlanta. Thirty-two bands, 16 in Athens and 16 in Atlanta, competed for the chance to perform at tonight’s State Finals. Tonight Chelsea Shag and The Norm and a host of their fans would see which band would move on to the stage at Bonnaroo this June. Judges, with input from the fans, would move on to be featured on the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival’s bill along side artists and bands such as: Eminem, The Killers, Muse, Future, Bassnectar, Dua Lipa, The Revivalists,Thundercat, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Sheryl Crow, Anderson.Paak and more!
The Attitudes (Hannah Zale, Carly Gibson and Jennifer Zuff (Indee Killed the Pop Star)) provided some extra punch on vocals and shook their tail feathers along with the crowd as Chelsea Shag jammed on stage. Chelsea Shag has a retro groovy swag that the blends with her jazzy yet funky pop music sounds. Chelsea Shag plus The Attitudes put on a sensational performance that had the crowd grooving on their feet on the floor and in the rafters at Sports & Social.
Chelsea Shag “The Opposite of Two”
One of the songs that Chelsea Shag performed at each of her Road to Roo performances was “The Opposite of Two”
The judges had to select just one band to move on to Manchester, TN this June. This year, the Road to Roo winner was The Norm. Even though we won’t be them on state at Bonnaroo this year the good news is that Chelsea Shag and the members of The Attitudes will be on stage at a venue near you soon. Listen local and listen live to get more from them!
Chelsea Shag is releasing her new EP Satellites on May 11th. Join her at Aisle 5 in Little Five Points for the EP Release Show.
