Valentine’s Day Q&A
What’s your favorite love song? Billy Joel’s “She’s Got A Way”. It’s special to me because since it is from Billy very first independent record, not a lot of people know about it. It is very clever lyrically with a mood that subtly leaves you feeling a sublime affection for your significant other.
What’s your favorite breakup song? Led Zeppelin “Good Times, Bad Times”. I love it because it is powerful and emotional, and slightly angry without being melodramatic. It gets you pumped up and excited to move on.
What’s your typical valentine’s day? I often go to the Atlanta Symphony for V-day with my SO. Nothing like hearing the full orchestra perform Tchaikovskys Romeo and Juliet.
Is there one of your original songs that you think everyone needs on their valentine’s day playlist or on their breakup playlist? I’m realizing my break up songs out number my love songs. Check out “Inertia” on Shawn Spencer, or “Open Book” on Seven Handle Circus for break ups. For Love check out “Love You Right” on Shawn Spencer, and “Aubade” on Seven Handle Circus
