New Music from Morgan Bosman on “Press Rewind”

Morgan Bosman‘s latest single “Press Rewind” was inspired by her desire to travel back in time. It’s about that nostalgic feeling of how things used to be during the brighter days of what is now a retired, lack luster relationship or friendship.  The song was co-written and produced by Herschel Lamont in Herschel’s home studio.

Morgan took to the stage to share “Press Rewind” at the Red Light Cafe in Atlanta. Her brother Dwan Bosman joins her on saxophone on this jazzy and soulful tune.

“Press Rewind” is a single that will be included in Morgan Bosman’s next EP. You can stream her music on Spotify and download on iTunes. You can hear her perform “Press Rewind” on the Libro Musica Live! YouTube channel.

Q&A With Morgan Bosman

What was the first album that you added to your personal music library?
Thriller, by Michael Jackson. First in cassette form. Then years later, I upgraded to the full album on my purple iPod nano. I still have that iPod even though no one uses iPods anymore.

What was your most recent addition to your personal music library?
Ventura – Anderson .Paak

What was your first live music experience?
My first musical experience had to be going to church with my mom in East St. Louis and hearing the choir sing. Seeing the way the music moved people to the point of running, jumping, shouting and crying always mesmerized me. I would get chills. First venue was probably an outdoor concert or festival watching to my dad and uncle (The Bosman Twins) play jazz. But daily, I would remember my dad practicing his horns in the basement or teaching private lessons – both classical and jazz. Those would probably be my earliest memories of music. Music was always around growing up.

If you could cover one album in your music library which would it be?
A Seat At The Table – Solange. Every song on that album resonates with me.

What artist do you wish more people had in their music library?
Lianne La Havas
